We are what and who we think we are.
If you don't believe in yourself, who will?
Since many of our thoughts and beliefs have been instilled since childhood, we must overcome long term conditioning. When our mind "gets it." we start believing it; that is when it starts working. Repeating an affirmation once or twice does not work.
I recommend repeating affirmations at least 1/2 hour to 1 hour a day over and over again, if not more, depending on how important the situation. The more energy we put into repeating an affirmation the sooner our affirmations will manifest itself. I also tell my clients to repeat their affirmations in the shower, while you're getting dressed, or even in the car.
Examine what your core belief is about yourself and then turn it into an affirmation. If perhaps in childhood you were abandoned by a parent, you could grow up believing you are not loveable or worthy of being loved. Here are some examples of affirmations to change your belief about yourself.
If we believe we are sexy, WE ARE. It doesn't matter what you wear, how much makeup you
wear or even how long or short your hair is.
I AM the sexiest woman (or man) alive OR
I am a woman (or man) who exudes sensuality. OR
I AM a sexy woman (or man) OR
Oooh LA LA! I am a Sexy Goddess (or God)
If we believe we are loveable, WE ARE. Never mind that you might have been abandoned or
rejected throughout your life.
I AM loveable. OR
I AM worthy of all the love, affection and positive attention that my lover has for me now. OR
I AM worthy of all the love, affection and positive attention that the universe has for me now.
If we believe we are prosperious, WE ARE
I AM a wealthy man/woman OR
I AM a money magnet OR
I AM a millionaire
